Fosters and Bottle Feeders
During kitten season, which is over Spring and Summer we need foster parents to love, socialize and tame feral kittens in order that they can be homed. Experienced Bottle Feeders are needed to hand rear orphaned kittens. During the school holidays, especially December, we require short term foster parents for a few of our socialized adult and teenager residents.
Volunteer
We are always in need of volunteers, either to love and spoil our shelter rescues, or give of your time at Shelter Events, or man our stall at Markets and Fund Raisers.
Donate Used Household Items
Tidying out your cupboards and garage. Why not donate your used cushions, duvets, bath mats, blankets, and throws to shelter. We also gladly accept brick n brac, kitchen items, ornaments, lamps, children’s toys and books, baby soft toys, garden pot plants, garden furniture and tools. What we can’t use at the shelter we turn into cash on our Sales and Tombola tables and Facebook shop. We have drop off points and for larger items we will gladly collect.
Make a Donation
Public donations enable us to keep our doors open and continue our work in Rescue. Become a monthly donor. For as little as R100 a month you can feed one shelter Rescue for an entire month. If you’re unable to adopt a cat, why not consider a Virtual Adoption for R350 a month of one of our gorgeous darlings. You’ll receive a full personality profile and updates on your kitty. Once off donations towards our monthly vet bills is always deeply appreciated.
Share our Adoption Posts
Every Wednesday we feature our gorgeous kittens or adult cats who are up for adoption. If you’re on Facebook, please share our Adoption posts as we know that each kitty has his purr-fect parent out there and the more cats we home, the more we can take into the shelter who are in dire need of a safe haven.
Adopt a shelter rescue
Our cats interact with our caretakers and volunteers every day, and we really get to know their personalities. Particularly in adult cats, you can find a companion with the type of temperament you are looking for. Adopting a cat not only helps them find a loving home, but also opens a space for us to take in another cat.
